Glossop SNT - Invitation to Tool Marking event in Hadfield 

PCSO Jones from the Hadfield SNT will be at Markovitz Ltd - Builders & Plumbers Merchants, Park Road, Hadfield SK13 2AH - tomorrow (Friday 12th September) - from 8.30 am until 10.30 am.

She will be offering free tool marking kits and offering general crime prevention advice to patrons and visitors whilst there tomorrow - so come along and meet her and discuss any issues and engage with the team.

Below are some steps you can take to protect yourself and your property:

🔒 Secure Your Van:
1.    Park in well-lit areas with high foot traffic.
2.    Install additional locks like deadbolts and puck locks.
3.    Use alarm systems with motion sensors.
4.    Add barriers to windows and between the cabin and the back of the van.
5.    Avoid advertising your business on the van to reduce attention.

🛠️ Protect Your Tools:
1.    Mark your tools with identifiable information.
2.    Keep an inventory of all your tools, including serial numbers and photos.
3.    Invest in tool insurance to cover losses.
4.    Avoid leaving tools in the van overnight whenever possible.
5.    Use surveillance cameras to monitor your van and tools.

Remember you - our local community are a huge assest by reporting any information.. being our eyes and ears.. if you see anything suspicious let us know – it may help us piece the jigsaw together.
